En febrero, los negros del Chota muestran en su totalidad la expresión cultural y tradicional de su pueblo, en un carnaval que cada año recibe a miles de visitantes.
Se trata del Carnaval de "Coangue", que en esta ocasión se realizará por tercer año consecutivo. Esta actividad la planteó la Fundación Piel Negra, para unir y difundir toda la riqueza cultural del pueblo afrochoteño.

The vote was so close - a margin of fewer than 1,850 votes out of 1.38 million cast - that an automatic recount will take place tomorrow. But, with few expecting the recount to change the result, the amendment's saga has dragged Alabama into a confrontation with its segregationist past that illuminates the sometimes uneasy race relations of its present.
